Photographers gathered in Baisha, Jiangjin District
CHONGQING (CQNEWS) -- The Anti-Japanese War ruins, wine brewing in old way, urban life… As one of the 2018 Chongqing (International) Image and Video Culture Festival series, photography activity was held at Baisha Town, Jiangjin District. During the 2-day activity, 10 photographers recorded the culture of ancient towns in Baisha with their cameras. Because of the rich history and strong life atmosphere of Baisha Town, photographers all said: “The past and future of Chongqing can be seen here”.
At Lvxi Winery, Baisha Town, Jiangjin District, the photographer was shooting photos about the brewing technique of Jiangjin liquors.
The grey-tiled hanging houses and the motoring sound from ships in the river call to mind the old Chongqing when photographers are walking on the old streets in Baisha Town. Due to the brilliant humanistic atmosphere and the unique site of the Anti-Japanese War, it is difficult for photographers to gather in time.
The photographers are impressed by the urban life in Baisha Town. Barber shops on the streets, people who play chess under the trees, vegetable markets, group who go to school or market on the early morning by ship... All of them show the living scene. "It is a quite suitable place for photography." said Wang Jing, a freelance photographer from Xi'an. Time seems to slow down while walking along the slab road in Baisha Town.
